litter 2024-WIZ: A litter for the double mink project.
Expecting double cinnamon and double cinnamon pearl, possibly also double mink and double mink pearl.

details: 30th September - mated, litter due 23rd October
21st October - moved into the maternity cage having gained 125g
23rd October - litter of 13 born first thing in the morning, sadly one was stillborn
28th October - very little variation in shades, so I may have an all pearl litter again, but a couple have lighter eyes suggesting another recessive may be hanging around
1st November - the whole litter is indeed fully expressed pearls, another statistically unlikely outcome
6th November - eyes are now open and the red eyed pair also seem to not actually be pearl (their coats are a bit darker), they look possibly champagne or buff based, or could even be siamese
11th November - the red eyed babies are siamese, and although they don't appear to be pearl, they may just not be expressing it. The rest of the litter are all fully expressed pearl and some even have merle patches
25th November - very sad to say that one of the buck kittens has unexpectedly died
