litter 2023-WLM: A litter for double mink.
Expecting american mink, and double mink, possibly some pearl.

details: 19th February - mated, kittens due 14th March
12th March - moved into the nursery cage having gained about 110g
14th March - 14 kittens born early morning
17th March - colour differences are now very clear, and happy to say the runt is doing well
19th March - unfortunately one of the pale does has been lost
21st March - and now the runt has also sadly been lost
24th March - the remaining pale kittens are beginning to look like they are all pearls, this is either incredibly bad luck or there is something odd going on!
30th March - there appears to be something very wrong with this litter, although I'm not sure what. Four kittens have died, and I can't say whether the rest will all survive. I will update in a few days time.
2nd April - the kittens had diarrhoea which is very difficult for them to cope with, and now only two remain, a mink buck and a mink doe, but hopefully they appear to be over it.
10th April - I spoke too soon, unfortunately the little boy has died today.

17/04/23: 34 days old, playtime with mum - I'm unable to let this kitten play with the others until I am sure she is clear of anything infectious, similarly Wilma is unable to see her adult companions for now.

25/04/23: 6 weeks old - having stayed well, she has now moved in with some older kittens, and will be joined by Oyster's girls next week.

04/05/23: 7 weeks old - now living with Oyster's two girls.

10/05/23: 8 weeks old


I won't be keeping this girl.
